Numbers have always been my thing. As a kid, I loved counting quarters with my grandma, playing gin rummy and pinochle, and tracking every dollar on a mall gift card to make sure I had enough left for a Gloria Jean’s on the way out. That love for numbers stuck with me—from analyzing our household cash flow to building tax-efficient retirement plans.
I earned my Mathematics degree from Purdue University and started my career in Finance, Accounting, and Process Improvement while pursuing my CPA. While studying, I kept getting pulled toward the personal side of taxes—not because it related to my job, but because I loved helping friends and family maximize their paychecks. That led me to preparing taxes nights and weekends, where I realized my real passion: guiding people through their financial lives.
At my prior firm, I served as a trusted advisor to more than 150 clients and sat on the firm's investment committee. This experience deepened my expertise in Social Security, tax-efficient withdrawals, and sustainable retirement income strategies. But more importantly, it reinforced a belief: delivering truly exceptional service requires the time and space to be fully invested in each client's journey. That’s why I founded Dunes Financial—to provide highly personalized, proactive guidance to retirees navigating life’s financial transitions.
I love solving complex financial puzzles, but even more, I love helping people align their wealth with their values. Many people dream; my goal is to help retirees confidently pursue those dreams.
I am a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® and licensed Certified Public Accountant, an active member of NAPFA, XY Planning Network, and the Financial Planning Association and am listed on the Fee Only Network and Flat Fee Advisors.
Outside of work, you’ll find me with my wife, Holly, keeping up with our kids, Cora and Roman, walking our dog Mia, or skipping rocks at the Indiana Dunes. And when I need to clear my head, there’s nothing better than a workout or a round of golf.
